Cambridgeshire Consultancy
In Counselling has provided counselling service in the Cambridgeshire
area for over 25 years.
The consultancy was inaugurated
in 1978 by professional people who responded to the Westminster Pastoral
Foundation's invitation to set up regional outposts. The Westminster
Pastoral Foundation has played a major part in the development of counselling
and psychotherapy nationally since 1969.
The consultancy has charitable
status, aiming to provide high quality counselling at an affordable
fee. No-one is turned away because of inability to pay the full fee.
The consultancy has 3 branches:
Cambridge (which includes Ely), Peterborough and St Ives.
Membership of the consultancy
comes from a wide range of backgrounds, Health Service, Social Services,
Education, business, religious organisations and psychotherapy.
Some of CCC counsellors
work within GP practices and CCC has contracts with institutions and
companies within the area.
All of CCC counsellors
are carefully assessed and professionally supervised in accordance with
the British
Association of Counselling Codes and Ethics.
All of CCC counsellors
have to demonstrate continuous professional development on an annual
basis.
